My three year
old son, Jonathan, loves books. He has his own bookcase in our
living room that is filled to overflowing with his books. He
also enjoys going to the bookstore and to the library when we
can get there. Here are some of the books he likes to have read
to him and we like to read to him.
Paper Dragon
- A wonderfully illustrated book and a wonderful story about
a humble artist sent to save his village from destruction from
a powerful dragon. This book is designed to be read aloud to
a group with the story printed on the fold out pages. A great
book for any library, preschool or daycare reading.

Swimmy
and Fish
is Fish - These
two books by Leo Lionni we have as part of a now out of print
collection. All of the books in the collection are very good
but these two stories are Jonathan's favorites. Both are stories
about fish, one in the ocean who after losing his school discovers
the wonders of the deep and along the way finds some new friends,
the other is about a pond fish whose friend the tadpole grows
to be a frog, leaves and returns to tell his friend the wonders
of the world outside the pond. Both are colorfully illustrated
and fun stories.

The World of Pooh - This two book boxed set contains all the
original Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin stories written
by A.A. Milne.

Ducky is actually based on a true story
about a shipment of bathtube toys swept from a container ship
on the way to the U.S.

The Sneetches and Other Stories - Classic Dr. Seuss

The Story of Ferdinand - A classic children's book about a bull who
rather stop and smell the flowers then be in the bull fights.

We encourage
you to take your children to your local library and bookstore
and let them discover the joy of reading.
