John Hedgecoe's New Book of Photography By John Hedgecoe ~ A very helpful book for the photographer of any level. A lot of images and diagrams to explain techniques. A very good quick reference book.

 

 

 

Understanding Exposure By Bryan Peterson ~ A lot of help for many different lighting situations.

 

 

 

 

Beyond the Basics II By George Lepp ~ This and Beyond the Basics are great guides for the outdoor photographer. A lot of tips on equipment and how to use it. Gave me a lot of new ideas on photographing nature. (Note: Beyond the Basics is currently listed as out of print but check Amazon anyway or link to George Lepp directly)

 

 

Closeups in Nature By John Shaw ~ A very good guidebook for the outdoor photographer who wants to gets close to nature.

How to Photograph Birds By Larry West and Julie Ridl ~ This book, along with George Lepp's book and seminar, has been very useful to me in improving my bird photography.

Photographing the Landscape: The Art of Seeing By John Fielder ~ John Fielder is based in Denver, CO but has done a lot of work around Westcliffe, CO where I have done some of my work. This is a very beautiful book with a lot of tips.
